Abstract

Arthrogryposis is an uncommon congenital disease in caprines, and there is only one previous report of this condition in Brazilian goats. This paper describes the case of a male caprine, with flexural, angular and rotational congenital deformities in the forelimb joints, with probable genetic cause, associated with slight bachygnathia of the upper jaw. KEY-WORDS: arthrogryposis, goat, joint, brachygnathia
