In this study, it’s described the ocorrence of iatrogenic hydronephrosis in left kidney compressing the abdominal aorta artery in persian cat. The animal was with pelvic members paralyzed, and slightly dehydrated and had pale mucous membranes. Both hindlimbs were cold to the touch, and femoral pulses were not palpable, and absences of deep and superficial sensibility were diagnosed. At palpation, the consistent mass with diameter of six centimeters was observed. An exploratory laparotomy, the left kidney was turgid compressing the aorta artery and the ureter was dilated and fixed at uterine horn by ligature with unabsorbed material. After nephrectomy, the local circulation was restored. The cat died after eight hours.
