Breast carcinomas are common neoplasms in female dogs, prevailing in middle-aged to elderly, non-castrated, or late-castrated animals. They present in various forms and can be caused by different factors, including diet, genetics, and hormonal causes. A female canine patient of Poodle breed, 8 years old, non-castrated, weighing 6,350 kg, was attended. The main complaint of the owner during the anamnesis was the marked growth of a nodule in the region caudal to the right inguinal mammary gland, with accelerated evolution of approximately two months. A 3-centimeter (cm) x 3 cm (length x width) nodule was observed in the caudal region of the right inguinal mammary gland and a papule measuring less than 1 cm x 1 cm in the left inguinal mammary gland. The former had a firm aspect to palpation, adhered to the skin, circumscribed, and hyperemic, while the latter had an equally firm, non-adherent, and circumscribed aspect. Due to clinical suspicion of mammary neoplasia, the animal was referred to diagnostic imaging, cardiology, and clinical pathology departments to begin oncologic staging. Subsequently, the treatment plan employed was total unilateral right mastectomy and simple mastectomy of the left inguinal mammary gland. The excised nodules were sent for histopathological examination, which revealed them carcinoma in mixed tumor grade III and mammary tubular carcinoma grade I and III. In this way, the aim of this study is to report a clinical case of mammary carcinoma in mixed tumor grade III and mammary tubular carcinoma grade I and III in a female dog.
